Robbies Reviews - Creative Speakers

For the student with limited desk space, this 2.0 speaker system provides a perfect alternative to the more cumbersome 2.1 speaker systems which are more common amongst those who enjoy great quality sound.

Using Creative‟s unique „BasXPort‟ technology, each speaker has a built-in ability to provide the rich bass tones which are normally provided for by a separate subwoofer, a large third speaker which takes up a lot of room.

In terms of sound quality, these speakers are almost impossible to fault. Maintaining a rich sound in both upper and mid frequencies, as well as providing a strong bass, they are the perfect balance of sound– certainly miles better than the speaker built into your laptop! The only disadvantage here is that they sound their best when pumped up to the max– the lower the volume, the less well the bass and higher frequencies are picked out– which isn’t so useful in communal University accommodation. However, this is not to say that they are not still of a high quality at low volume.
Creative Speakers
These speakers come in at roughly £55 (amazon.co.uk) which is excellent value for money, but for the student on a budget, Creative also provides an „Inspire T10‟ speaker, a little brother so to speak, which weighs in at a more affordable £30, although if you have the money, I would definitely recommend the T20 over them.
