The Simpsons Movie

After eighteen seasons of bright yellow mirth it has finally happened, the most popular twenty minute TV slot in history has been melted down and re-formed into a feature length adventure. The production company have been extremely tight lipped about any plot details, but I believe creator Matt Groening is right in his statement “I can’t imagine people look in the TV section of the newspaper and think, ‘I’ll watch this week’s Simpsons because I like the plot.’ You just tune in and see what happens.” If you love the characters, the world and their crazy antics then be sure to get yourself down to your local cinematorium on the 27th of July.

Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix.
After the amazing first four Harry Potter films, one of which I went to in fancy dress, I personally am on the edge of my seat awaiting this new edition to the set. With the final book now written we are coming to an end of the Harry Potter era, only to be remembered in cinematic grandeur.

After returning to Hogwarts to begin his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter discovers that much of the wizarding world, including the Ministry of Magic, is in denial about Lord Voldemort’s return. The Order of the Phoenix, a group sworn against Voldemort, is using its vast array of wizards and witches magical abilities to combat Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic, suspects that Dumbledore is using these claims of The Dark Lord’s return as a means to over-throw Fudge as Minister. In retaliation, a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher is appointed by the Ministry in order to keep an eye on Hogwarts. This new teacher, Professor Umbridge, implies strict new teachings and rules, forcing a group of students, under the tutelage of Harry, to form a club, by the name of Dumbledore’s Army

Transformers - The Movie
Just from watching the trailer for the movie, I am finding it difficult to contain my excitement for this movie. As a young boy I spent many an hour playing with toy cars…..imagine if they were like this!

High-school student Sam Witwicky buys his first car, who is actually the Autobot Bumblebee. Bumblebee defends Sam and his girlfriend Mikaela Banes from the Decepticon Barricade, before the other Autobots arrive on Earth. They are searching for the Allspark, and the war on Earth heats up as the Decepticons attack a United States military base in Qatar. Sam and Mikaela are taken by the top-secret agency Sector 7 to help stop the Decepticons, but when they learn the agency also intends to destroy the Autobots, they formulate their own plan to save the world.

It’s been twelve years for us since our favourite bald, wife beater wearing police officer saved billions of dollars worth of gold from the cryptic hand of the second Gruber brother in the franchise. Lieutenant John McClain is back and this time fighting the most deplorable terrorist attack to date; hackers ruining America’s economy… Well perhaps they aren’t the most inaccessible ‘criminals’ but you can bet they will ensure your two hours are full of explosions and witty retorts.
